Richard Clee is an industry-leading utility and pipeline specialist with over 35 years of experience delivering complex infrastructure projects in the UK and USA.  He currently serves as Managing Director of Clee Pipelines Construction Contracting LLC in the UAE, where he leads the company’s expansion into large-scale water and gas infrastructure projects across the Middle East.  Richard also continues to work in the UK, providing expert training, consultancy, and project delivery services to top-tier clients.

A practical leader with deep technical roots, Richard has built his career delivering high-risk, high-profile projects involving large-diameter pipeline installations using trenchless and traditional techniques.  His expertise includes mains bursting, slip lining, tight-fit lining, and open-cut excavation, with a sharp focus on engineering assurance and long-term performance.  His project history includes landmark works for National Grid, including the 1.2m main replacement through Hyde Park and multiple high-pressure valve installations across central London.

As an Associate Member of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (AIGEM), Richard is widely respected for his operational knowledge and safety-first leadership.  His qualifications include:

With an 85% site-based presence, Richard remains hands-on across all phases of delivery - ensuring safety, quality, and innovation at every stage.  His recent work includes providing apprenticeship training for Cadent, overseeing HDPE compliance audits, and delivering major water infrastructure installations across both the UK and the US.
